A year in review for the musical products that my readers purchased in 2025
Doing a quick recap of the 2025 year, I decided to check out what people had purchased
through my affiliate links on this site - Many thanks to everyone that supported the page, it means a lot!
Just for a quick breakdown for people who don't know how the affiliate program works, I get a small amount (usually between 1% - 3% for musical items) for purchases made through the products I display on this blog. This is not added to the cost of the product in anyway, it's just what Amazon pays me to direct people to their site.
But - I also get to see what people might have purchased that is not on my site but they might have clicked on a link on my site anyway. A lot of these things are other musical products people might have bought that I didn't come across in my research.... This is information that I am going to use to help create better blog posts in the future.
For those that might be wondering as well, we don't get to see any of the customer information, just the products purchased (Image below).
It was really interesting for me to see what people are searching for and buying. So I thought as my first post of 2026, I might as well pull out the musical products and list them here to see if anything interests you. I've added a quick bit of research and facts for each but I will do a bigger deep dive in this coming year.
So, What Were The Products Musicians Bought in 2025 After Reading MTH?
IEM or In Ear Monitors
An In Ear Monitor, or IEM for short, are audio devices that let musicians hear a mix directly in their ears. This means that each person on stage can be hearing the same song, but mixed in the best way for them to perform.
There were quite a few purchases for products not in my original list. I will be creating a 2026 updated blog post in the near future, but in the meantime, here is the list of IEMs that people purchase in 2025 that might help you with your 2026 choices.
There are a wide range of set ups for in ear monitors so I have broken them up for simplicity into full systems with everything included, just the device and no headphones and just the headphones which seem popular.

I have never done a blog post on wireless microphone systems but it is on the list for 2026 (wow, nice rhyme). Here is a list and some details on some of the options people bought last year.

Laptops For Music Production
My 2025 blog post on Laptops that are suitable for music production at different price points was one of my most viewed of the year.
I think my only takeaway is that technology changes pretty rapidly and maybe 1 post a year is not enough. Both the laptops change in spec but also the software like DAWs and plugins do as well as they get more sophisticated.

Leads, Cables and Cords
Maybe I was wrong with my assumption that this might not be a topic that people would need help with but my data appears that I could be wrong. Even I, who has leads and mic cables scattered around me as I type, have never really given it much thought.
In saying that, I have had horrible experiences and I have products that have been with me for a long time. 2026 - The year of the Leads, Cables and Cord blog post!
